Camino del Toro Chardonnay

Camino del Toro makes some amazing wine from Argentina and we are very proud to have the wine as part of our Splash collection. They are a winery that focuses on making estate bottled wines. If you don’t know what that means, it is something to be excited about. It means that the whole winemaking process, from the growing of the grapes to the bottling of the wine happens on the same property. This attention paid to the wine is a sign of amazing quality and you can taste it in this Chardonnay.

With Chardonnay, there can be a wide range, from the oaky and buttery Chardonnays of California and the more citrusy and refreshing Chardonnays of France. In that spectrum, the Camino del Toro is closer to that of France, being unoaked, however, it has a more tropical flair in flavor, a signature of South America.

The nose is fresh, with notes of tropical fruit leading. With the first sip, you immediately get these fruits manifesting as flavors of banana, peach and pineapple. There is a hint of honey as well on the palate. A crisp minerality on the finish makes this refreshing and ready to sip. A true beauty of a Chardonnay.
