Chateau Franc-Cardinal Bordeaux 2015

Wines from Bordeaux are some of the most loved and esteemed in the world. One of our personal favorites is the wine made at Chateau Franc-Cardinal. A petite chateau and operated by the Holzberg family, there are a lot of things to love about the Chateau. The winery is in the final stages of certifying as an organic wine producer, meaning they focus on the purity of the delicious fruit flavors. It is a family run business, full of passion, something we always respect and admire. What's the number one thing to love about Chateau Franc-Cardinal? The unbelievably delicious wine.

Both the highly touted 2005 and 2010 vintages were extraordinary—balanced and elegant in a way that is uniquely Bordeaux. A blend of Merlot (72%), Cabernet Franc (24%) and Malbec (4%), the palate is sheer elegance. Plum and prune notes lead on the fruit, balanced by a slight smokiness and even a hint of almond. It is simply unbeatable.
