Espiritu de Chile wines are crafted for the adventurer. For those seeking to find some of the best wines the Maipo Valley of Chile has to offer. Located just south of the capital city, Santiago, the Maipo Valley is home to some of Chile’s most prestigious wineries and is often described as the “Bordeaux of South America”. Considered the birthplace of Chilean viticulture, Maipo Valley wines embody the beauty and variety of Chilean wines. 

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes used in this wine come from carefully selected vineyards from the Maipo Valley, where excellent weather and soil conditions produce exceptionally flavorful grapes. Grapes are handpicked in early April and then transferred to fermentation tanks. The wine is aged in both American and French oak barrels for 12 months to add to its complexity. This wine features a deep and intense ruby red color with a complex nose, which reveals fruity notes such as cherry and blackberry intertwined with sweet and spicy aromas of black pepper and mocha from the barrels. Sweet and juicy in the mouth with good structure and ripe, smooth tannins. We recommend serving it at 64 degrees Fahrenheit and pairing with ripened cheeses, red meats and dried fruits. This wine pairs perfectly with a charcuterie board.
